Hi! How are you all today? I am fine. I wrote an elephant story I while back so I am going to put it on my blog so you can see it. Here it is..........

Elephants
By Esther Wright

I grew inside my mother for nearly two years. After I,m born other elephants stand nerby to protect me until I,m strong enough to walk. Newborn elephants are very messy, so Mom has to clean her baby off before he can stand up . I,m very weak and wobbly.
Mom gently helps her baby to his feet. My mom lives in a herd with other mothers, babies, and young elephants. Dad likes to live on his own .Mom and Dad met at the water hole. The leader of the herd is the oldest female elephant. She leads the herd to where water and food can be found. Male elephants live alone or with small groups of other males.

A note to everyone!

Elephants are my favorite kind of animal and it is a big kind of creature and it’s a animal that lives in Africa.

Hi Esther! Nice job on your elephant story. I love elephants too and was privileged to see a real one in its own habitat while I was in South Africa last year. It was amazing!
