so, what have you guys been up to?! we have just been up to different things...whatever life brings along :) last night we went to the snowcone place and got some snow cones! then tomorrow we are going to the fair that is here in town. on Saturday some of us kids are going with a couple friends to go to the demolition derby...(I am excited about that...already have my outfit planned too!) :)


We are getting ready to start the school year here at our house! we start on August 21st....and I am somewhat excited.....haha. I am going to be in 8th grade this year...and we are homeschooled. three of us kids are going to use the Abeka videos. I have already done that like for 2 or 3 years. We have all our supplies...and we are ready to go!

Goodbye 2012, welcome 2013!

hey guys! Happy New Year!!! :) soo...on January 3 my family and I traveled to Branson, MO where my grandparents were waiting in the cabin that they had rented for a few days. the occasion was my grandparents 40th anniversary. the cabin was great! it had a fully supplied kitchen, (except the food, of course) two porch swings in the upstairs back closed in porch, room for 14 people to sleep, two jacuzzi

 tubs, and family, it was an awesome weekend! we left on Thursday and came back on Monday. the family that was there was my grandparents on my Mom's side and my Aunt and Uncle. It was fun! We started school back up with a half-day the Tuesday after we got back...today is Wednesday and we finished the other half of the school day today. That has been really nice to have some extra time today and yesterday. Mom is taking the upstairs Christmas Tree down, the two younger kids are messing around, Lu and I are in our room hanging out, and Dad is at work...things are good! Dad had a CT scan today...he got there at like 10:15 this morning and an hour later was still not in the scan! But, he is back at work now. They wanted him to have a CT scan suddenly because of some symptoms he had been having...coughing/sneezing up blood a couple times...poor Daddy! :( but, yeah...so that is pretty much what is going on...tonight Dad, Lu, and I are going to Groundhouse to have our Bible study. I will get a Brown Cow Blender with no coffee...Lu will probably get just a Brown Cow...which is the same thing except it is warm and she will get hers with coffee...the ones with coffee are not good...to me, that is..haha:)

wow. life has been crazy.

wow. that is all. So...Dad's surgery was going to be in November. But, then they moved it to October. All of us go to St. Louis. Dad and Luanna fly in a small airplane, Mom, Julianna, Karson, Grandma, and me all drive. Okay. First, let me start by telling what they were doing in the surgery. They were freezing the 3 largest tumors. Well, they ended up only freezing two. The third one had gotten bigger, and they weren't gonna take the time to do that one. So, that is what they were doing. Anyway, so we go to St. Louis, we get this surgery done, stay for a couple more days, leave on Friday. (we left for St. Louis on Tuesday) We finally get back home. Early early Saturday morning, Dad's pain got so bad, even when he took medication, it was so bad. He knew something was wrong. Mom took Dad to the Menorah Emergency Room. He had a collapsed lung...there was air and fluid around his lung. So, they put a chest tube in his back. Well, it worked. He left Menorah on Friday. So, he was at Menorah for a total of 7 days. Dad was in some hospital for about 10 days. With only one night at home. (not even a whole one at that!) So, we have been busy lately. But, he is back home now. Thank goodness! We went to an Alumni Gospel Sing up in Kansas City on Saturday. He got a whole round of applause. That is my Daddy! Never giving up on Christ, I love Him so so much!!!!! I hope he lives until God comes back. That is what I hope! :) So, yes. That is that.

Tonight, Luanna and Kayla (a girl from our Bright Lights group/our cousin) are meeting and talking about our next Bright Lights meeting. Luanna and Kayla are teaching. It will be Luanna's first time, but she will probably do fine! Maybe say a prayer for her? anyway, Mom brought her and I to McDonalds. Luanna is talking with Kayla right now at a table, Mom is talking with Jana, and I am talking to, well, no one! I am sitting by myself at a table typing. Haha. That is fine though. I don't mind!:) After we are done here, Luanna, Mom and I are going to the Mall across the street and going to Bath and Body Works. Luanna and I have been wanting to go for a while. :)

Election Day is tomorrow! If you are reading this and are old enough, PLEASE GO VOTE! It is important. I hope you vote for the right person. Don't let me change your desicion or anything, but GO ROMNEY!!!!!!! :) I hope you vote for him...but, If you feel that you should vote for Obama, then do as you wish. But, once again, GO ROMNEY!!!!!!!!!

a little update on life!:)

hey guys, so I haven't posted for a little while...that always happens...:P

So, this coming Saturday, we are having my 12th birthday party. you may know that my birthday is in December, but we always have it in October because December is a very busy month. :)

Thursday Luanna and I went with Dad to St. Louis. He had to have a treatment...
Now he is feeling yucky from that treatment...this coming Friday he has an appointment with a doctor. Dad is going to have his biggest tumors surgically removed soon. He wanted to have my birthday party before the surgery because he didn't know how he would feel after it...he is so sweet!:)

I saw this sign yesterday at Hobby Lobby  (love that store) that said: I found my prince charming. I call him Daddy. Love it! They also have these giant colored pencils...love those too!

Well, I am going to go for now...Dad's computer is about to die..haha.

hey guys:) so our company just left today...Lu is somewhat sad. we had a good time with them. see, they live in PA and so we don't see them very often..but we love those Russels to pieces!! karson warmed up to Uncle Joe aka "Splosive". LOL! Kerri is 11 and someone that I can hang out with. Erica and her are definitely the cousins that I am closest to. :)) anyway....! GUESS WHAT? OMW! I ordered 4 Zebra Print cases from Amazon for my iPod! I am so excited about them. Do you guys want a pic? Let me get the pic off amazon, crop it and put it in this post. Hold on. Sit tight. Don't move. (btw, I am on the iPad) Urghh! I can't do it from the iPad..it won't let me upload a pic to this post. Well, I will have to get the picture for you guys when I am on a computer..anyway,how's life? St. Louis:)

Hey guys!:) So today Lu, Dad, and I all flew from Gardner to St. Louis in a little airplane. Dad had to come over here to get some blood drawn, see the doctor, and get his chemo treatment. Then we are flying back. Scott Perry is our pilot for today....:) WELL, things got majorly backed up here at the hospital. The Dr. was running behind, and today IS the day after a holiday. Well, Dad was supposed to see the doctor at 11:00, and start  treatment and 12:00. He didn't see the doctor until after 12:00, and he got started on his treatment maybe like 30 minutes ago?! WOW! It is almost 3:00 people! Well, we are going to get home a little later then expected...right now Dad is laying on a bed, getting some fluids and stuff put into him. He is actually sleeping right now. Lu and I might go walk around here soon. Dad hasn't even started the actually chemo stuff yet I guess...we will be here for a while. Well, that's okay. There is a reason for everything...maybe God made everything get backed up here because if we would have left St. Louis earlier then maybe we would have been in a plane crash. :DD Well, I guess I am going to go for now!

Garage saling, ect.

Hey, guys! I haven't posted for a long while!:) Today was the city wide garage sale. McKenzie, Mom, Julie, Lu, and our friend LeeAnne went and did some garage sailing!:) it was fun. We went to this one that was really good. I got this cute little purse, and a manicure set! Both of those things for 6 dollars. You gotta love garage sales! At a different one, I got a $5.00 Abercrombie sweatshirt.:) McKenzie got a little purse, (matching to mine except purple. mine is pink.) and a coffee cup for her Mom. We had fun. It was pretty hot out there, but we had fun. How has everything been going in your lives? Comment and let me know!:)

my weekend......part 2

so here is the rest of my weekend........:)


Then on Sunday, we will obviously go to church, and I mean I guess it is just going to be a regular Sunday except Lu and Mom will be gone.:) I mean, we will probably just do what we always do, we might go to Grandma's house after the afternoon service, I am not sure. :) So, ya. I guess that is pretty much my weekend! Oh ya, I guess Friday night I might stay up kinda late. I am not sure, Luanna is going to have to leave the next day, so she won't stay up that late. Then, we are going to have Monday and Tuesday off. The reason we are going to have those two days off is because Mom and Lu are going to be coming back Monday, (I think) and so it will be nice if Luanna and Mom had some time off to recover from the long trip. :)

my weekend.....part 1

hey, readers! so, I am going to give you my weekend plan....

So, Mom and Luanna are going to leave on Saturday (along with my aunt and uncle and grandma and grandpa) to go to the funeral for my Great Uncle Paul. Which is in Ohio. We would all probably go, but it is a long trip, and since Dad only has one leg, it is hard for him to sit through church even, so the trip to Ohio would be hard. Dad also thinks that flying to Ohio is too expensive, and so I am going to stay here and help him with the kids, and we may have someone else come and help too. I am not sure. So, ya. So, on Saturday I guess we are just kinda going to be hanging out here.....we have some friends that might be coming up to see and hang out with us for a while. then in the evening, we are going to go over to my Grandma's house for a birthday celebration for my Dad. Happy Birthday Dad! :) (it is on the 11th)

I am going to put this in 2 parts so..........GO ON TO THE NEXT POST..............

hey, there! I am sorry that I have not posted for a while! :P so, early this morning my Great Uncle Paul died. because of the situation, he got so sick that he died. the good thing is that all of his sisters, his parents, and a couple of other people, (including my Mom) got to see him before he died. they live in Ohio, though. Not all of his family got to see him in person before he died. But, at least some of us will see him in Heaven. Mom said that she thought he would probably go to Heaven.

    Well, now on to a different subject. :) So, if you split your hair into 2 sections, then take one section and braid it into 3 little braids, and do the same thing to the other section, and leave it in over night, you get these pretty waves. mine stayed most of the day. :) course, I have some natural curl in my hair, so I am not sure how it would stay in other hair. :) let me know if you try it!

  Okay, so Luanna and I joined this girl's Bible Study group that our cousins Kayla and Kristel are apart of. Thanks for letting us know about it Kayla and Kristel. :) It is called Bright Lights. They have different little Bright Lights groups in different places. I have made a good friend of one of the girls there, Sarah Beth. She is really nice, and I am glad that we have become friends.

hey, guys! :) so....on Saturday of last weekend, we had our Wright Family Christmas! that is, the Christmas with most of the Wrights....the Wrights that are here in this area. :D so, that was fun! also, yesterday, we had our church Christmas Program. it was so much fun!! i have stuff to look forward to this weekend as well....such as, my B-day on Christmas! i also share my b-day with a very special person! :) and......we have ours last day of school for the year this Wednesday....looking forward to a break! but today, poor Karson was sick. well, he still is....:( i feel so bad for him...the rest of us are hoping not to get it though..:/ dad took lu and i to walmart tonight, and i bought karson a squishy ball...just to cheer him up:) well, i guess i am going to go for now...luanna and i are watching Dr. Quinn. we love these! :))) Merry Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving! :)

Hey, guys! So....this is probably going to be a little bit of a lengthy post. I am going to tell you all that is going on this week. Well, yesterday and today we did school, for the rest of the week and weekend we have no school!!! Yay! Except, Lu and I will have to work on our Research Papers, well, at least she will. :P But, then tomorrow we are just kindav going to be hanging, Lu working on her Research Paper, I am going to be helping get the kids ready for the day, ect. On Thursday is of course Thanksgiving so we are going to be taking a trip that will take us about 2 hours  to a relatives house for the big Thanksgiving Dinner. The guys will be doing paint balling....well, at least some of them. On Friday we are going to put up Christmas decorations!! Awesome, right? I <3 Christmas. Anyway, on Saturday we are going to go to our Grandma's house for dinner and our 2 cousins are coming to stay the night with us. Then, on Sunday is of course church, ect. :) So, ya...that is pretty much what is going to be happening. I hope you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

some more information! :)

hey, everyone! so..i thought i would give you some more information as to what is going on this weekend. well, today, sharmen is here helping us out with different things. we had waffles and eggs for breakfast, (i helped sharmen) i don't eat eggs, but the waffles were good! thanks again sharmen! well, sharmen is leaving around 2:00....so, after she leaves, we will just hang out. (that is what we are doing right now, and she is still here!) anyway, about 4:30 dad, julie, karson, luanna, and i are going to leave to go to Wonderscope. that place is awesome! if you all haven't been, you need to go at least once! it is an old school building, and inside in all the rooms are different hands-on things for children to do. it is so cool! ;) anyway, tomorrow we will go to church, and then we will have lunch, another church service, and then we will come home again! oh, another thing is, Mark Winkler is a little boy that goes to our church (7 or 8 years old) broke his arm last night! you know how he did it? jumped off his brothers truck. NOT A GOOD IDEA!! but, he is going to be okay. they are going to see the doctor on Monday. but, yes. so, you could keep Mark in your prayers, he and his family would probably appreciate it. breaking bones hurts! thankfully, i have not yet broken a bone, but, only 10 years of my life are over. :/

fun, fun, and more fun! ;)

hey, everyone! so, today my Mother left  this morning to go to the Women of Faith Convention. she went with some of her girlfriends! she is staying over night down there and returning later tomorrow. so....during the day my gma englund came to watch/take care of us. then, about 4:30 this afternoon our other gma and gpa came to pick us up to go to Chick-Fil-A to meet dad and aunt sharmen. there, we all ate dinner there, and then we all went to Costco to get sharmen a new laptop. (becasuse hers crashed!) so, after we did that, we came to our house. then, we all hung out here for a while....watched Laurlel and Hardy, dad worked on sharmen's computer, and just hung out! :) then, gma and gpa wright left, and sharmen is spending the night here to help us out since mom is gone. so...that is nice! :) thanks aunt sharmen!! so...yeah. oh, also, mom didnt make us do school today since she was going to be gone. so, luanna and i got to catch up on our lost sleep!! :)
